family super bowl party!

i don't know about your family, by mine LOVES football! so of course we are throwing a big party for the super bowl!!! and i think we are all ready!  root beer, soft pretzels, and cotton candy...check, check. and check!!!

we'll be making friendly wagers on all of the games most important moments!

it might be just a little bit early to start getting ready for valentines day... but i cant help it!!!!

i just love this time of year! i love all the pink and red decorations and love is in the air!!

 besides all the goodies and such, i always like getting all wrapped up in silly sentimental gifts and being romantic! and of corse my husband being so sweet and doing things he doesn't want to do, 

to make me happy! (ehem... safe haven!!!) (i just love him!!!!)  anywaaaay... back to the goodies!

i'm totally thinking heart shaped brownies! with lots of icing and sprinkles!

sweet baby shower!

projects projects projects!  i have so many fun things i'm working on i can hardly keep up with them all! i just love my job!!! i decorated for a baby shower this past weekend and we had such a great time.  there will be a sweet baby girl we will be welcoming into the world in 6 short weeks!!!! yay!!!

2013! 27 days in...

i finally got to sit down and think about the things i want to focus on in the new year! 

i've been working on a few things but just last week i finally got to 

write them out and prioritize them and such.  

i read about a different approach to making resolutions that i might try this year... the idea is that you set goals for 52 day incriments 7 times a year.  so that at the end of 52 days you can reevaluate your goals and make adjustments or add new ones or whatever...

so here are just a few of the things on top of my list!

*strictly limit my sugar intake! (i'm basically addicted! :/ so i gotta kick that)

*have living room redecorated and kitchen remodeled.  this has been on my "to do" list for 

quite some time and i gotta get it knocked out!

*get back into the routine of running!  i used to run all the time, but lately i've fallen 

off a little so i need to get back in the groove!

ok i'm thinking that is PLENTY to get me started!!! it will be enough work hammering out these things so i'm not gonna add much to it until i conquer these!

kelly green dining room!

recently i got to do a little design work for an amazing young couple that i love so much!  they were wanting to furnish their dining room, but she came to me complaining that she was overwhelmed with the empty space and had a hard time making decisions.  so my first task was to figure out what they wanted in the space.  after much discussion, picture pilfering and just a tiny bit of hesitation they finally agreed to a mostly sleek and traditional look to match the house and were brave enough to say yes to a bright kelly green credenza!!!! to add just a little funkiness and their personality!

i really love this room because it is just so "them". and i think they really enjoy it too.  

what was once an empty room is now a fun and energetic place, 

perfect for entertaining and enjoying friends and family!
